Nicki's second song on this countdown, Young Forever. Ahh, this song just makes me feel all giddy and have all this feelings, besides being one of the stand out tracks on Roman Reloaded if you ask me. I would rather have Nicki do more R&B then Pop to be honest, and I think Young Forever is the reason why. "I use to think that we'd reunite, I'd be your wife, I thought that you'd come back for me, and take me away" . Its lyrics and the music is just pure R&B/Pop without all the extra gimmecks and noise that a lot of the music released this year had and it just made it even more great.

The hottest track that came out this year, "Your Body", this was the JAM of my year. How can you dislike a song that says "All I wanna do is **** your body, tonight's your lucky night I know you want it"? Its just pure raw energy and I've gotten down to this song in the car or at clubs more times I can count. Specifically, I went with the Country Club Martini Remix, but that would be to long to fit in the title, the regular track is just as much as a bop as the remix. The breakdown that the remix has though > any other breakdown this year.

*Not Official, don't know maker, but not mine*
"Baby when we're touching in the dark, can you feel it, I can hear the pounding of my heart, can you feel it, when you take my body to the stars, can you feel it, boy this love is supernatural"
Probably my most anticipated track this entire year since we got that 15 second snippet that already slayed everything released this year. The chorus is probably my favorite from this entire countdown, but it didn't live up to the hype. However, it's still a great track and needs to be a single in 2013! Ke$ha can do no wrong, and this is why. The bridge especially is pure magic.

Slaynatural. The part of the bridge when it's kinda stripped.
Just the beginning of its inevitable chart domination.

*Not mine*
"Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well"
MIA, never fails to deliver, also the remix with Azaelia Banks and Missy Elliot was my favorite version of the song! Three amazing rappers coming together to make an amazing track. While the original does it well, I think the remix had a special quality to it. Definitely one of the more creative tracks released this year, and it was refreshing to see Missy put some verses on a track again. I can't wait what MIA has to offer in 2013!

Alicia brought it this year, and Nicki turned it up this song. One of the best collaborations that happened this year! I love the positivtivty this song brings out, its such a motivational song in the sea of all the sappy/corny songs we've gotten this year, it couldn't have came at a better time. Nicki verses were some of the best she's done in a long time
"Spirit of Marilyn, Callin me, audibly, bawlin she, Said that she would never leave, Continued to torture me, Tellin me to come with her, Underneath my comforter, And she brought a gun with her, Pills and some rum with her"
I hope to see this song do very well in the future because it deserves the success, if anyone can save R&B, Alicia can!

I use to be such a big fan of The Veronicas, but for they kind of just stopped making music so I lost interest in them, but I would still bop to their first two albums. So when I heard about their new song I was excited, and I was NOT let down. While a little on the generic and dated side, it reminded me of their song "Hook Me Up" and "Take Me On The Floor" so it was an instant love! From the intro
"From the mouths of apes to the power of men, I make it all new again, Hold my hand, hold my hand, cause I can't touch the ground, The carousel goes around, round and round, The addiction the friction, it burns you alive, So illegal, no evil is seen with these eyes"
To the bridge this song is pure joy. I can't wait what else they have in store for their third album!

So, I've never connected with a songs lyrics so well in a long time. Every single word is just perfect, and I wished this song came to me in an earlier point of my life, but it's probably better that I heard it now. It's a little juvenlille, a little selfish, and bratty, but it has some major truth to it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who connected to it. One of the best lyrics written this entire year, and probably decade so far. I hate to get sappy, but
" I wish been, I wish I'd been a teen teen idol, wish I'd been a prom queen fighting for the title, instead of being 16 and putting up the bible, feeling super super suicidal"
Probably hit me the most.
