'Die Young' was released at the right time, but a second single before Warrior would have been necessary to re-establish her place again in the market, just like Katy Perry did with Teenage Dream. The whole thing has been sloppy. People expected too much from her. RCA probably did too, and now she's failing. She can't just expect to sell albums with one song, unless it was as big as 'TiK ToK', which it sadly isn't.

But RCA would have released Cmon. What would that have established

I agree, she should have released a second single before the album, and released in 2013.

It's not uncommon to release only one single before the album. That's not a good excuse.
But yeah two singles would have helped.

But our point is that in Ke$ha's situation, she isnt big enough to sell a whole album off one single (Tik Tok is an exception due to how big it was)

In 2009, she was the tra$hy party chick with the clever and silly lyrics, and she was the new thing. She came back a pudgier version of that + the illuminati imagery.

Other mainstream pop artists such as Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have followed the 2-single format. Even Rihanna did the same for Talk That Talk. Ke$ha isn't as big as any of those 3, so what made RCA think she could sell like hotcakes with one song? Maybe they were really confident in 'Die Young', that it would do the trick like 'TiK ToK'.

She released Cmon though. They clearly expected it to do well on iTunes considering they're now putting it up as the second single., but since it didn't...what were they supposed to do? The album release date was set since the first single was released in September. I think it would have been messier to push the album date back. It isn't like she just released Die Young then dropped the album. There was quite a bit of promo, including her Twitter 6 symbol unlocks, and we all expected her to at least pass 100k. She's an album FLOP, we must deal and group her with Flo Rida

They just should of thought about this before 'Die Young' was even released. Things could have been planned so much better, but even if they were, who is to say that she wouldn't flop anyway?

I think if Katy Perry could do it, Ke$ha could too.. Its just about getting her image and message across better, people are still kind of scratching their heads because the trashy party girl from 2010 is replaced by a more stylish and laid-back girl today with no explanation
