Excited about the Kuu concert but not sure I'll be able to catch it since it's being held at 5AM EST on a day I have a quiz. Might try still. I think it's pretty funny that she's pumping out another covers album right on cue since they're suddenly popular in Japan.
m-flo's new song that they're using to promote the Bon! Enkai DJ mix + IRL parties is out on JPN iTunes and...obviously the other usual sources. It's very much a house-pop song, but I think it's still pretty enjoyable; just not as immediate as "All I Want Is You." It probably fits great in the context of the DJ mix though (releasing on December 19th!).
J-Pop Voting
For the first 3 categories (Video, Artist and Album of the year) you'll have the chance to choose the nominees, you just make your top 5 for each category and send it to me via PM till December 15th, we'll reveal those nominees on the 18th.
• Just to make sure, you can vote for any J-pop release from January 1st-December 8th
• Don't forget that you will vote based on your taste, not about sales or popularity.
• For the "Album of the year" category you can vote for Albums and Mini Albums (with 4 full tracks+) intro =/= full track (Only JAPANESE albums allowed (NO SNSD))
• For the "Artist of the year" category you're not allowed to vote for innactive artists/sub-units. (No K-Pop acts like SNSD or OC are accepted here)
• For the "Video of the year" category you can vote for any Japanese music video released this year. (still no SNSD)
• You vote for 5 artists, albums and videos, in the format of a top #1-#5, then i'll count them all and see wich ones collected more points.
It doesn't surprise me that people are having trouble picking j-pop to nominate. Barely anyone listens to more than a few artists. EXPAND Y'ALL HORIZONS
