I would much rather Ke$ha get Top 5 or Top 10 albums consistently than be like other artists who get huge then fall off right away.

It doesn't have to be Supernatural just another song that is more memorable than Die Young (so not C'mon) as the album didn't have enough hype. Die Young is a good song to smash with but not enough to sell an album. All That Matters could work.

I would be mad if the reason that this album didn't sell that much is because of the lack of albums distributed around the country.. I mean how will the album sell if fans can't even find the cd in wallmart and best buy? Like seriously...

I am very disheartened by this.. it is very hard to take.. I guess I will now have to just expect the worse tbh

Y'all need to remember that humongous first week sales do not a successful era make... not always, anyway. I'm not too worried about this. I really feel like there are enough potential smashes here to allow this album to enjoy some great longevity. It's got legs. Like, may I please remind you all that Katy's Teenage Dream opened with FAR less than it was expected to back in the summer of 2010? We all know how that campaign turned out. Some of the posts in this thread are reading like obituaries for the album, or something of that nature, but I think there's still plenty of time for Ke$ha and her team to turn things around.

I think we all need to exercise a little #positivity and #trust in Miss Ke$ha. Oracles of pop culture (read: evil, jealous haters) have been writing her off and predicting her demise since the beginning of her career. It'd be a shame if her own fans followed suit. But just to err on the side of caution, I think we should all commit to not giving out anything but Warrior CDs as gifts this holiday season.

A first single has to be fresh and good quality to sell the album first week though. Tik Tok was, Die Young is not.

But seriously, some of you guys really put too much stock in first week sales. In the long haul, if they play their cards right with promo and single #2, the album will see sales. No need to go jumping off of bridges just yet, ladies.

Those numbers are awful & I'm not surprised. I have no sympathy for her, Luke or RCA.

The promo was so minimal, they picked the least creative lead single they could. Yeah it's a pop smash, but Flo Rida has pop smashes too & his albums all tank.
