Oh girl, now we both know that's not gonna happen.

I don't see Brit performing on XF, tbh. It would be very f*cked up how a JUDGE and MENTOR lipsyncs on HER OWN SHOW.
IDK, I just don't see it happening. And don't come to me with the pre-recorded vocals crap, that would be f*cked up too.
|
It would not be ****ed up. One -- as mentioned -- former judges have lipsynced on their shows. Two -- the show is about X Factor not singing. 95% of the contestants can't ****ing sing themselves. Three -- It is messy she still lipsyncs, but at the end of the day she's been doing it and people still love and praise her.
**** the backlash, she'll always get that for doing it. Why y'all keep bringing up backlash like it's something NEW, I'll never understand.
I really don't think she'll lipsync anyway. As long as she's fierce and serving, nobody will care.

You know, I'm conflicted about Brit doing another X Factor season.
You can tell she's SO much more comfortable on the panel now (although her comments clearly still need some work) than she was in the auditions. Plus she's been looking amazing lately as opposed to the auditions where she looked like absolute **** and put us through tons of meltdowns over her makeup, etc. I feel like if Britney was to come out swinging, looking amazing and showing the personality we see in the backstage mentoring clips (and that her contestants talked about) on the next season during auditions and throughout the season, it'd do wonders for her next era but there's still the possibility that she'll be closed off again so IDK.

That supposed 2 million extra was never reported by deadline.com so I don't believe it.
Also, how is she supposed to sing most of her songs live when there not even in her natural register?
That doesn't even include any effects they put on. There's no way she can replicate it live to the standard needed. If she tried people would complain it didn't sound like the song on the cd.

I can't at some of you. For me, it would be very disrespectful if she does lipsync, not only to us, but Carly Rose and Diamond specifically. And yes, we always get negative press, but I don't need another TTWE Billboard Awards mess, and if she performs, that's most likely what we're getting.

The Billboard Awards with Nicki I don't even feel was planned. It looked and felt like they saw each other backstage and said "hey, let's do this". I mean, she was wearing the outfit she wore to the ceremony. The X Factor stage would be a lot more elaborate and planned out. And if she does lipsync, we'll just have to deal with the press as usual and so forth. It's frustrating she's still doing it at this point of her career, but what can you do?
@Nick29: Actually, there aren't any effects on her talking or singing vocals of "Scream & Shout". I think she would pull out the British accent for the show. As for the singing, it probably does have some pitch correction but it isn't Disney character produced like "I Wanna Go," she's singing like her CDs pre-Dr. Luke.

Britney actually rehearsed the TTWE "performance". I remember us freaking out because she was wearing a little black dress and heels.

All S&S is missing is the big radio updates. I feel like radio is probably a bit hesitant b/c a) the song is a mess and b) it's will.i.am, so they're probably waiting to see if people truly do like it based on iTunes sales before they start blowing it up. Hopefully soon.
The TV ad is gonna be the biggest form of promo for the next few weeks. Hopefully it keeps it in the Top 10 for a while. I think the Christmas #1 will be Taylor, though. That song is coming for everything, and since Xmas is on a Tuesday, watch it sell like 800k.

I was under the impression she hasn't been creating songs in her natural register since the beginning. (Hence the need to lip sync)
Even if the song was in her natural register, smoking and not practicing wouldn't help. Which is her own fault of course.

Britney doesn't sing in her natural time since her start. She sings in her nasal voice, perfect example in BOMT.

She said she was trained to sing pop, because her original voice was very dramatic and Broadwayish.

They're hesitant cause it's a brand new song as we're about to hit the Christmas freeze in a couple weeks. It's been gaining fine enough, though... nothing worrying. I wasn't expecting 2m-3m+ updates right away anyhow. It'll be perfect for after the freeze, it'll explode.

I know it's a silly example, but how she sang Happy Birthday on X Factor is exactly how she'll be able to sing on the chorus.

I quite enjoy Britney's nasally voice. I always thought it accentuated a lot, or most, of her songs. Especially songs like 3 and Circus. Then there's her deep coo that sounds fantastic on songs like Me Against The Music, Money, Love, & Happiness and Scream & Shout. Then there's the breathy, soft vocals that we see in Breathe on Me and Slave 4 U and Touch of My Hand.
The only time her nasally vocals ever sounded terrible was with the S&M Remix.
