Totally a photo op. Out and about in Central Park? It's pretty common occurrence think of the timing of the revelations - found out something went down with them last April the week her album dropped, rumors of them hangning out at x factor the week 1Ds album drops, rumors here and there of them spending the holidays together/her appearing at their concert etc and then fan photos appearing the week of 1Ds big concert in MSG/a concert they'll both be appearing at. It's like with Jake - rumors started the week Speak Now came out, a bunch if speciation, sightings for a few weeks and the giant paparazzi photo spread the week his movie opens
The relationships may be real but there's definitely a method to how they're revealed to the public.
