Each of the genre categories would have at least an award for the performance, the the song, and for the album. In country and pop music, there are usually enough solo and pop artists nowadays, and that's the way it is too for the real categories. Similarly, there isn't an award for Solo Rock Performance anymore, so solo and group acts would be combined there.

I thought we were all trying to decide on what should be on the official list? I really do think we need to include song categories for each genre, otherwise, it makes no sense to include Song Of The Year.

It would be like having performance categories for each genre
And then an overall performance category (Record of the year)

Ok about the list...there isnt a pop song, But, I think everything else is pretty much golden, it falls in lines to what the grammys have, they have a song and vocal performance category for each genre, but then again, we might just pick the same songs for the song and vocal category anyways, so

edit: why would we include four? re you going to pick the best five for each category?

I know, but do you see what I'm saying about how the list is uneven if we include song of the year? It's like, one of them has to go. We either get rid of song of the year, or add song categories for each genre to keep things even.

Everything has been decided. I know it's weird, but I need to be stricter with these rules, as it seems people want to make a lot of revisions and changing things every second confuses everyone. Sorry.
