Look at Alanis, her album sold 30 million WW. How many people actually remember her songs on that album ? How many time is it played on radio per week ? Wow, i cant even remember the title of the album ! But who dares to say it has less impact or less memorable than Breakaway ?

You forgot that their last album has sold almost the same amount worldwide . Kelly has longevity in US, Avril has her longevity in Asia.

If they hear them? That's the point, they wouldn't hear them because they just aren't as memorable and don't mentioned ever. I doubt they'd even remember who sung them.

While in France no one knows how this song sound like. It's easy to take one country by one. And let's not act like the singles from the Let Go era could be played in clubs.

My point is that they still know the song and would remember it (no matter if it's not played in your country or in another one) if they hear it. I wasn't talking about the radios etc because anyway we will never know if the song is played in the other countries but ours (and the biggest radios don't often play old songs, mainly if the songs don't sound like a song we can hear today, I personally don't hear some songs that are considered as classics anymore).

Alanis is not apart of this poll. But Jagged Little Pill did very well, but other than "Ironic," Alanis has no hits from that album that people remember.

And Avril should pay royalty to Rihanna for reviving an old song of hers and bringing Avril some limelight right in time for WTH.
