The comparison is not really fair (although both Dia and Cassadee share the fact that they had careers with solid fanbases way before the show, so that will translate easy in many votes for them regardless of how solid their performances may be - Dia delivered always though, while Cassadee probably did just today, and with a high emotional song and intro/outro by proud Blake, who's a vot-magnet himself).
When Dia was competing on The Voice, the show was unknown, and people were really not that into it as they are now, therefore their purchases came only in the finals and not as consistently.
The public of Season 3 is way more ready to buy songs and send contestant in the chart throughout the season, also because finally in this season it matters (I am glad they let the public choose the winners in this new format they are using now, though I can see not deserving voices go on for longer than they should this way - Dez and Cassadee being the primary examples against Sylvia and Terry - let's hope not, but it will happen).
Cassadee has a huge fanbase and the fact she sang - well, I admit - a very emotional song with all that emotional introduction and explanation by Blake has moved her this far.
But if she was not making it big with a major label contract and promotion and touring and albums before the Voice, she won't after.
She will gain some more exposure, but unless she doesn't really try for Country I can't see her music from 2004/2005 happening for real in the charts once the show is done.
And honestly, she is not at all the most deserving contestant in these 10 left.
She's not even in the top 5 I fear.
But her fanbase will push her ahead for sure, even more after today.
Last season Juliet was a far more superior vocalist, and she had the real rock vibe.
Cassedee is a cute second rate Avril Lavigne and she seems to find her niche of sound with a lot of difficulties despite having probably the most invested coach in the show (but what song will Blake pick up for her that can match the emotional impact of this one, suited for her kind limited vocal possibilities? I wonder... ).
All that said, though, congratulations to Cassadee and all the top 10 guys on this The Voice season.
They are very solid and good this time around.
I just hope Trevin Hunte won't be sent home because it would be a shame.
