And does slw84 not realize that most rappers don't claim Britney like that? I hope they aren't expecting him to be remaking BOMT or something jnkml,. He loves Britney and Britney loves him. They're also both criticized by the way they've acted in the past by the media but use their music to connect with their fans on a more intimate level. A modern day Adam & Eve, tbh.

I've seen the Ellen interview. He complained about everyone..he said he felt bad for her, she wasn't ready, and MTV used her for money and ratings, and that she wasn't relevant to music at the moment as she was to the tabloids.

I was talking about the Albums sales. Despite having so many great achievments that era, the album sales weren't. We all know that an album that sales less than a million in the US isn't a good look.

4 or 5 albums sold 1 million this year. Pop albums dont sell well anymore.

But he didn't do that interview in 2005/2006 when she wasn't really relevant in music.
He did it during her game changing Blackout era.
People still saying it's britney, bitch. The album sold 800k in its first run and sold 200k off of word of mouth and its significance to dance/pop in the later 00s.

That is the point I am making. As lady gaga said, the music industry wouldn't be the same without her...there is no logic to call her irrelevant to music. That's like saying because Mariah and Madonna can barely sell gold NOW that they are not relevant and their impact meant nothing.
