Yes.
She's still my fave as well but once again this isn't just some random talk show. It's a show she's judging contestant's performances and talent on in front of millions.
If she sucks, she looks like a hypocrite and it WILL have a negative effect. I'm just looking at the bigger picture here.
This reminds me of last year when I threaded the numerous positive reviews of the BMAs performances, proving the performances were well-received and a success in terms of eyes of the critics. Beyoncé stans said nice things about them yet her own stans were saying how critics should have murdered her for those performances.
Everyone but her own stans is used to seeing her perform like that nowadays. Lowered expectations can be your friend. She could easily get nice feedback for the X Factor performance. It's not impossible.
