Is this weird? : So when I use to play Sims I'd have a hardtime thinking of names for when I was creating sims, so I would think about people I know at school with cute names and give my sim their first name. But now, I give my sims their first and last name like their actual ones.

That;s because that's the town you play in and it's the biggest file probably.

I keep having aliens trying to abduct my sims, and it's always around the same time too. I have to make sure none of my sims are awake at that time.

Well to be completely honest I originally made her as a teen

Thanks to this thread, Ive played Sims three the past two days
My sims have a son who's a toddler right now. Very persistent little thing with crying and has an Evil personality according to the panel that you can see their personalities? Great

Sims installed, played last night. My kid went running around town in his underwear and broke into a house to take a shower. He hung out there for a while.

The female Sim I have reached the top of her music career. Plays a concert once or twice a week to make some good money, that way she doesnt have to leave work every day, and so she can take care of her son. The husband recently got a new job in the business field. Already very close with his boss and got two mini promotions

Do you need to have an expansion pack for music careers? And how do I get a pool?

No i just have the regular Sims 3
Music career I just got from being a fan(boy/girl) or roadie or something
I can't remember it was just a job that you applied for online or a newspaper. Once you reach the top of music career you don't have an hourly job, you just perform concerts as you please, and you can also go to the stadium or clubs and do signing sessions

I think pools are in the Build Section, not the buy section. I can't remember exactly it's been a while since I played

They're in Build Mode, just click on the pool icon and start building!

I'm really really loving Seasons! I had my Sim go in that haunted house rabbithole and she came back out as a ghost, lol. I even dressed her up as alien! Haven't encountered any real ones so far though.
I haven't had snow yet too, I still gotta play a bit till it's finally winter in my town. It's just raining and storming a lot as of now. The weather effects are just perfect imo.

You can apply for the Music career at the theater. There's also a Singer profession that comes with Showtime. Pools are in the build section.
