I love the 'Lotus Intro'. It sounds quite dark and organic. Yet powerful. It sounds like it could've been on 'Bionic', actually.
'Army Of Me' is such a powerful tune. I love her vocals on this one. She sounds so motivated. The song itself reminds me of something maybe Donna Summer or even Cher would release. A true diva anthem.
I absolutely love laidback attitude of 'Red Hot Kinda Love'. The song sounds so happy and flirty. The 'la la la' part is my favorite part of the song. It reminds me of 'Monday Morning' from the 'Bionic' album.
I think 'Make The World Move' is my least favorite song on the album. It's catchy, but sounds quite dated IMO. It's too 'Back To Basics' for me. Plus Cee-Lo doesn't really add anything to it IMO.
'Your Body' is an absolute stand out track on the album. Still can't get over the fact it wasn't as huge as J.Lo's 'On The Floor' for example. Should've been Christina's big comeback single. It's such an anthem!
The other Max Martin produced song, 'Let There Be Love', is so full of energy. It's more dance than pop and sounds like it could be a huge European hit. I love the power in her voice and the hard beat.
A lovely little tune. 'Sing For Me' reminds me very much of the ballads on the 'Stripped' album. But - that said - it's not as good as 'Soar' or 'The Voice Within' for example. Still, it's classic Christina.
Christina and Sia are a golden duo. I love what they create together and 'Blank Page' is no exception. Christina's vocals shine on this song. I really like it, but it's not the new 'Beautiful' or 'Hurt' for me. I don't necessarily want it to become a single.
Now this is something else. 'Cease Fire' is a true stand out track for me. It's very different from the other tracks so far. It sounds like something Rihanna could've recorded. (and it reminds me of Skylar Grey) It has this urban feeling to it. But it's also very organic sounding. I can feel the hurt in Christina's voice. I'd love this to become a future single, but I think the chances are slim.
Although I must admit the lyrics are a bit cliché, I absolutely love 'Around The World'. It reminds me of Brasil carnaval for some reasons. Maybe because of the drums. I imagine Christina using this as opening for her tour. Such a fun track.
'Circles' is amazing. And it's funny: it also has this urban/island vibe to it, especially at the beginning of the song. But, when the chorus kicks in, the song changes to a rock/pop song. It also reminds me of 'Make Over'. I'd love for this to become a future single as well.
'Best Of Me' is another typical Christina song. I like it, it's a real album track. I don't see this becoming a single or anything. It kind of sound like the reprise of the album intro.
The opening of 'Just A Fool' reminds me of R.E.M.'s 'Everybody Hurts'. The song just sounds classic. Very, very nice. Could become a very big radio hit for Christina and Blake, if released as single. It's tailor made for US (country/hot ac) radio. It kind of reminds me of the Kid Rock/Sheryl Crow duet 'Picture'. This should be released to those US radio formats ASAP.
There's something about 'Light Up The Sky' that reminds me of a OneRepublic song. At first I thought it was produced by Ryan Tedder. It's a very nice song and I wish it was on the standard edition of the album. It'd be a perfect album closer.
More drums! 'Empty Words' is the song I think reminds me of the ballads on 'Stripped' the most. It's nice.
Whoa! Now this has attitude. 'Shut Up' reminds me of a stune but I still don't know what song. I love it. Easily could've been a Linda Perry production I think. It's fun and outgoing.
