Who overrated them? She had no longevity in any chart. HIAM must be like the lowest selling number one in recent years.

So she flopped harder than we thought
At least there's a chance she'll have a three-million seller from FF... Hopefully "Circus" will become her second, tho (also more likely to happen as it is closer than TTWE, I don't know where TTWE/Circus are currently placed in on the iTunes charts...)

She underperformed BIG time. Still, FF sales are better than most of this year releases. M5 had two of the biggest hits of the year and their album is at 715k. Same with fun. Pop albums don't sell anymore.

Mostly other stanbases, but Britney stans as well. They are acting as if she got Rihanna or Katy-level radio exposure last era, when in fact, radio played her singles just a little bit more that usually.

I'm also pissed it didn't scan platinum in the US and top 2m worldwide. Those #’s would have been okay.
I cannot believe "Hold It Against Me" didn't go double platinum either.

Well, she only has pop support. For Katy and Rihanna, anything less than 100m AI is a flop. For Britney it's the biggest song of her career. That alone puts you in a difficult place to sell singles. And still, for a 400k debuting single, HIAM flopped miserably. TTWE was a decent hit, critically and chart-wise. IWG had a small airplay-to-sales ratio, so it was a mild hit. And let's not with Criminal, with that censored video.

The album flopping I blame the three-weeks early leak, her team's lack of proper promotion, and the general state of pop album sales. KP and her re-release and million number ones only sold 2.5 million.

However that comment ^ may or may not be an insult. It's uncalled for, some of y'all are taking it to far.

Katy's a singles artist though. Everyone knows that her worldwide #'s should be her US sales at the very least after that amount of HUGE hits. Not to mention she's a promo-*****.
