Well I just saw the video. Y'all do the absolute MOST. Yes, it's simple, but she looks stunning and the effects were a nice touch. I love it!
Some of you need to take yourselves OUT of the ATRL box for a hot minute. I think some are getting much too wrapped up in the competitiveness of this forum and constantly expect Kelly to be like every other pop star out there. If the worst people can say about her videos is that they're boring or plot-less, who cares? She looks amazing. No one is criticizing her for pouring cheerios over her body and smashing them around in her hair. Or shooting whipped cream out of a cupcake bra at an army of gummy bears. Would you rather that? I wouldn't.
Let's be completely honest. Music videos don't even matter that much anymore. I can't remember the last time I or anyone I know actually saw a MV on TV.
I think the video serves the purpose for the song. And the fact that she looks so great and it's 4 minutes of just watching Kelly be flawless makes me want to watch it again and again. That's more than I can say for the other two videos released this past week, which, ironically were both also plotless. The superior song holds the superior video
Kelly has proven again and again that she can be very effective by being very simple.
