Physical Attraction obviously was more radio friendly/capable of being a bigger hit, but to anyone with sense, Burning Up is the best song on the debut and her best 80s single.
Happy 7th birthday to 'Confessions On A Dance Floor'!!!!
This is by far one of my favourite albums of all time, not only by Madonna but from an artist in general. Its the album that turned me from a singles fan into a full discography fan!!!
My ranking is:
Hung Up
Get Together
Future Lovers
Jump
Forbidden Love
Like It Or Not
I Love New York
Sorry
Let It Will Be
How High
Isaac
Push
Why does Confessions On A Dance Floor have people divided? I know its not on the same lyrical content as Erotica, Like A Prayer etc, but for being an album paying dust to disco, its exceeded my expectations.
The entire era was flawless in terms of promo and single selection. Yeah nothing was a hot off the heels follow up to 'Hung Up', but it did give life to Madonna for a new generation of fans. Hard Candy sales bow to Confessions for getting everyone gassed up for it.

Thank God for it. This album is so underrated on here, it wasn't supposed the be the deepest album on Earth, just a great pop record. It was a huge comeback for her, that's what she needed.
Most fans love COADF. I like it a lot, I think the problem is that a lot of younger fans think its her magnum opus. And, well, its maybe her 6th or 7th best album. The era is one of her best though, she was on fire.
