I hate when people say music sounds dated. Just because not every song is europop doesn't mean the music is "dated" and sadly that seems to be the determining factor nowadays (hence why people who say this agree LTBL would be a hit).....

They are so used to basic music that they no longer notice the difference.
On top of that, since when have piano driven ballads been considered "dated"? That's how we know the climate of music is in a sad state A piano and a voice is anything but dated, it's timeless, actually..
'Lotus' is absolutely refreshing, it shows substantial variability, it has an actual musical quality which many albums don't produce any longer...

Poor them.
I mean really tho, when a song has real instruments and vocal ability it's considered dated... It's crazy, what's dated is listening to that musical waste that's on the radio now.
