Because the Whistle video had been out since early June...way before it started taking off

Yeah, the music video for Whistle came out AGES before it smashed. Everybody as usual said it was flopping because it didn't shoot straight to #1 after its video. They probably feel so stupid now.

Of course it was Smashing way harder in UK/Germany/France/Canada/Australia before it even made it to Top10 in the US.

Once Whistle went Top 10 on iTunes it gained popularity really fast, I Cry has not been gaining at the same pace.
