I think the spoilers are true and here's what I think will happen:

I haven't read the comics but I've heard Glenn and Maggie adopted Sophia. Since Sophia is dead on the show and Maggie was the one who helped Lori give birth, she and Glenn will adopt the baby, since it's Shane's and not Rick's baby anyway. Also, if Lori does die this early, that will take out the possibility of the Governor killing Lori himself in the future so I think that the Governor will kill a different character instead, maybe Daryl and then it could be a perfect time to introduce Tyrese!

I think the spoilers are true and here's what I think will happen:

I was thinking the same thing about Maggie and Glenn adopting the baby! It makes the most sense and kind of allows Rick to continue leading without distractions, although I feel like it would still be awkward because there is a chance she is his, and it was still his wife that gave birth to her.

I'm still waiting to get an update from Morgan and Dwayne! I think Lennie James booked a pilot for another AMC show already so if that gets picked up he likely won't have a chance to come back to the show, so I hope they fit him in before that happens.

What if [character death in spoiler] Glenn dies in this season instead? The producer implied that there would be tragic deaths and occurrences that would happen in this season that would happen much later in the comics. I'm worried because Maggie + Glenn is my favorite couple on the show behind Daryll + Carol. I sincerely hope they don't kill Caroll off because she's one of the better ones on this show and she has a significant amount of untapped potential and she has a bunch of quirks that the television director added in. It would be a shame to see her off so early when her only memorable scenes were in the dreaded farm arc. I can see them killing off Beth though, she has no purpose on the show except to serve as a younger Andrea and ain't nobody here for that.

I need Merle to die first... It'll be interesting to have him back and see how he reacts to seeing the group again, but I'm a little bugged he was added to the main cast

Merle's personality has been written down by the writers this season so they can, presumably, make him more likable and a bit like Daryl.

Hopefully Merle is the one who goes and not Daryl because I'm just not here for a campy, Captain Hook to be added to Rick's group. That's just too much.

Glenn probably will die this season, if not the next. The Governor kills quite a few of the main characters in the comics.

And I am not here for Maggie and Glenn adopting the baby. Rick and Carl would want to take care of her just based off the fact that she is the last thread of connection to Lori.

Glenn had no busy dying in the comics so actually see it unfold on my television screen would do the absolute most to my psyche.

I doubt Maggie and Glenn would adopt at all in the television series; I can just see Maggie getting knocked up mid-season.

No Tyreese isn't on the show yet and I don't think there is anything to really suggest he will be, but they've been good at keeping certain things secret so who knows. And from interviews with the cast and producers I get the impression that the Carol and Daryl thing will be merely a cute flirtation and nothing more.

Glenn's death in the comics is beyond brutal. The Governor does him so wrong. I'm not really sad about it though. Him and Maggie annoy me.

It wouldn't surprise me if she did. They are pretty irresponsible.

Tyreese, according to producers, will be in the show.

Didn't Negan kill Glenn? Who is basically like the Governor, but that would be a while away. I personally hope the show concludes before that because as a villain Negan is a bit too redundant.

Yeah Negan was the leader of the Saviors, which is basically a group comprised of Shanes who constantly vie for power and their ethics are based on survival of the fittest. His inclusion in the comics is incredibly late and I agree with you on his motives being redundant considering the Governor did much of the same. I can see the producers combining the two together this season.
