I don't know about you guys, but I feel the 99c deal was genius even though it had nothing to do with Gaga. We're in the digital age and labels and artists have to give people incentive to buy their albums. With album sales declining year after year, labels have to do whatever they can to get their product out to people. Gaga has always said that she doesn't care if people buy or steal her music, as long as they're listening to it.
I hope Interscope handle the apps thing carefully and don't turn into another issue like "Gaga has sold XXX copies without the apps DEAL"
The only numbers Interscope or Gaga really care about are sales. They don't really care about people arguing about other numbers, it's just stans that worry about crap like that. Interscope I'm sure was more than happy to sell 400,000 copies at wholesale prices to Amazon, no matter what Amazon did with it.
