Put the tuxes and designer gowns back in the closet. Alicia Keys’ Black Ball charity gala has been delayed due to Hurricane Sandy.
The ninth annual Black Ball to benefit Keys’ organization Keep a Child Alive was originally set to take place on Thursday at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, but it has since been postponed due to the storm. A new date will be announced in the coming weeks.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all our fellow New Yorkers affected by this devastating storm,” the organization said in a statement (via MTV News).
This year’s Black Ball was set to feature performances from Beyoncé, Carole King, Angelique Kidjo, and Alabama Shakes, while Oprah Winfrey and Kidjo were to be honored for their philanthropic efforts.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards people affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India
One can't deny that Beyonce** knows how to choose her collaborators. She's worked with The-Dream**, Frank Ocean**, Shakira**, husband, Jay-Z**, and now Miguel**.
The singer-songwriter, who recently worked with Alicia Keys** on "Kaleidsocope Dream" track, "Where's the Fun in Forever," teams up with King B.
Earlier tonight (Tues. Oct. 30), Miguel shared a photo on instagram of himself and Bey' at a studio session. "... woah. creating for Virog's all weekend," Miguel tweeted.
There aren't details as to who's project we can expect to hear the magic their creating. I'm crossing my fingers and toes it's for an upcoming full-length of Bey's.
Wouldn't it be amazing if Bey' debuted a MIguel-assisted song during Super Bowl?
She's an RnB artist
Why wouldn't she release RnB albums?
I think some of them are expecting full pop album with bubblegum pop songs that fit the radio, because she had an underperforming era Its Beyonce we are talking about! She always made RnB albums that were nothing less than masterpieces.

I cant wait anymore
Exactly. She's going to make music she enjoys.
She don't do generic.
Countdown, End of Time, Schoolin' Life. RnB songs that were better than 98% of the Top 40.
Not here for the King working with Redone, Dr. Luke, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Max Martin and Shellback. Bey better stay away from these generic "producers".
Except Redone his productions are tacky and Bey is above such mediocrity.
Redone has some good ****.I really don't know why the hive is so against her doing pop music.I know it may seem generic, but if it's done rights is can be really epic.
