Okay??? That's what I'm saying. Digital era is a mess. #1's = pop royalty?

No. High singles sales don't make you the Princess of Pop.

I mean, I think in a sense she is... but I think it's more the fact that she releases like 7 singles a year.. some of them are bound to hit when you constantly work with hitmakers

She is the artist more liked on Facebook, the female artist most viewed, 4th most followed.
Loud was one of the biggest eras of the last years.

I think she might be a princess of pop, but princess aren't really remembered down the line. She needs to do more to cement her legacy besides sell records. (Thanks to the digital age)

No. Britney still is. Face it, Rihanna's sales or performance skills don't make anywhere near the title that is the 'Princess of Pop'

Kylie actually is a legend in the UK. She's like the British Madonna there.
Rihanna would also need good (by that I mean GOOD, none of that ''Birthday Cake'' ****) pop songs, albums that are really critically praised (''Rated R'' does not qualify, it has quite some commercial stuff on it, and it's not chart-unfriendly or anything), and longevity: if she'd go away for a year or two, would people still give a **** about her? No.

If you take into account radio, you'd also see that she is the most successful mainstream Top 40 radio for like the past decade. Radio, pluse high sales, can that help you see her as the "Princess of Pop?"

You think that such accolades are the reason she could be sitting next to pop legends...? Nobody gives a flying **** about her Twitter followers except for the people who bother enough to defend her.
