I Knew You Were Trouble I’m not sure about. I think it’s about Joe Jonas, because the secret code is “when you saw me dancing” and in Last Kiss, she says “I’m not much for dancing, but for you I did” and that song is about Joe. OR it could be about John Mayer because everyone knows he’s trouble and she talks about “A new notch in your belt is all I’ll ever be” and “The saddest fear comes creeping in, that you never loved me or her or anyone or anything” and he’s known for playing all the girls he dates.
All Too Well’s secret message is “maple lattes” so this is definitely about Jake, because an interview with People says that they both love maple lattes.
22 is about her friends. We all know that.
I Almost Do is “wrote this instead of calling” and I am not sure at all on this one. I’m thinking possibly Taylor Lautner because it really seemed like he was the only guy to treat her well and from Back To December, you can tell she screwed the relationship up, so you could see why she’d want to reach out to him again.
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is rumored to be about Jake. Her and Jake were on and off a lot, so yeah. That explains it.
Stay Stay Stay’s message is “daydreaming about real love” so it’s not about anyone. It’s just a fantasy of what she’d like to have.
The Last Time is “LA on your break.” So possibly Jake again because he’s an actor and actor’s work in LA. Also it talks about getting hurt a lot and she experienced that with Jake.
Holy Ground is “when you came to the show in SD.” I have no idea on this one. It talks about dancing again, so possibly Joe. Or possibly Jake because it mentions coffee and they got coffee together quite often.
Sad Beautiful Tragic is “while you were on the train.” I think this one is about Taylor Lautner because of the lyric about the hand written note. Think back to the Back To December music video and that will make sense. And it’s talking about how she was too late and how his demons all look like her, so I think it’s about him. She also says “we can’t get back” at the end. BACK To December again…
The Lucky One’s secret message is “wouldn’t you like to know” and as Taylor clearly wanted, I have absolutely no idea on this one.
Everything Has Changed has a secret message of “Hyannis Port.” This is about Connor Kennedy (her current boyfriend) because that’s where his family’s port is.
Starlight is “for Ethel.” This is clearly a story about Connor’s grandmother’s relationship with Bobby Kennedy.
Begin Again is about moving on from Jake to Connor.
