But this is ridiculous.
The corruption in the radio industry honestly hasn't been this apparent since WFL vs. SAIKI. In fact, this situation is much worse than that, because if Psy had the English SAIKI's airplay, he would have been number one already.
Where are they moving to, by the way?

I perfectly get your views and trust me, in many ways I do agree even; but let's never forget the commercial part that permeates all that is still "free" for consumers.
In some way, business gotta be made.
Radios find their ways.
For the majority of USA audiences (which are very vary) PSY still a niche-kind of phenomenon.
They might find it funny, hilarious, cute, but nothing more than that.
Macarena at least had the impact of being a novelty (by then not many silly songs had that much of success, and not many dance routines had that impact in the whole world, if you exclude Staying Alive maybe).
But the song had the advantage to be sung in a very practiced language (practiced in the USA area).
That mattered.
To compare Psy to Macarena is a long reach out.
Radios will grow with time... what I am trying to explain is even if here in atrl is felt like a disappointment that Psy isn't reaching the top (and I agree), the GP doesn't feel, in its majority, the same, otherwise radio out of their polls and ways to measure up the wider taste, would actually have given him more audiences, not because it would have been fair (they don't care about that) but because it would have been for them more profitable than play other songs.
I hope to have been able to explain myself decently.
It's really not easy in another language
