At the time they were. Now? Eh, not so much. With the exception of "Yeah!", none of the other singles are really brought up.
Confessions hasn't really held up much in the public conscience, even though it's a decent catalog seller. It wasn't really a game-changer for the R&B genre. There are more memorable R&B albums that sold much less but had much more of a lasting impact on the genre.
Confessions is just a juggernaut of its time.
Lots of songs with repetitive production all about sex. I didn't use the first time I heard it but I'll try it again.
