Unlike Google, Apple updates new products and when the new OS comes along they will tag some of their Apps and Features as "This feature will not work for your device". They kill it slowly until it dies and goes off of support.

You do realize that barely any phones have been updated to JB and Google already announced a new OS a year later? lol. And some devices won't even be able to upgrade to that. Just stuck on a 2 year old OS. mess.

That's because Android offers a wide range of phones. From low-end to midrange to high-end. The flagship devices will get Jellybean (One X, S3, Note 2 etc etc). It's easy for Apple to support their devices since they only have one phone. It's okay for Apple to release products once a year, I think it's ideal and should be the standard. But releasing another one in 6 months? You've got to be kidding me. They added a new chip, the lightning connector and LTE. They could've just made one product. It would have been much easier to take.

That's why Google is trying to expand their Nexus portfolio so much this Holiday season.

Nexus means you get the updates the SECOND they're out, not when Samsung/HTC/carriers decide you can.

this. since nexus devices are a product of google they're always first to get android updates and get them as soon as they're available. it isn't their responsibility to issue those updates to android devices by other phone manufacturers. apple on the otherhand have the luxury of being able to release an update to all their devices whenever they want because, obviously, they manufacture both the OS and the device.

nexus devices + android > apple devices + ios

Did I lie ? Are you insinuating that the Galaxy Nexus (with it's dual core/5 megapixels) is better than a Galaxy S3 (by the way, Jelly Bean is out on the S3) ?

I'd be worried about people not knowing the difference between RT + normal W8 and how you can't download any legacy apps or how you have to buy separate app versions for RT and normal even if they're both on laptops.

I never said anything was better. I'm just replying to these people saying to buy Nexus + not Samsung. And it still hasn't rolled out everywhere.
