I hope Kelly does some promo for CMB betweeen now and the CMAs. I don't want an 11 day dry spell.
Looks like there won't be any performances till the CMA's which is just 10 days away.

I don't mind too much. This coming week Taylor Swift is going to dominate with her album releasing tomorrow. I'd rather wait till next week when Kelly will create some noise when the mass public realizes she was nominated for a female country award, haha.

People would be LIVID!! if that were to happen. I kinda want to see it happen , but I know Kelly would feel super uncomfortable about it, lol. I would love to see Martina McBride win, I love that cancer song she had.
I'm more excited to see if country radio will jump at the duet. Country haters can't pull the, "Kelly only had a hit because of Vince," because he hasn't had a hit in years.

Am I the only one who finds it odd when we get new videos of Kelly singing Miss Independent and all of her old material.
I do love it, just so strange seeing her singing old songs right in the middle of new ones like MKIA etc.
It's very bittersweet. Makes me proud as a Stan that a 30 yr old Kelly can still emulate or even sometimes perform the old songs even better than back in the day
But at the same time it frustrates me that Kelly doesn't want to make hits like those anymore ..always pulling the "I'm 30 now" card. Smh
The duet is going to be a sweeping duet. It's gonna make Don't You Wanna Stay sound like This Little Piggy.

Sigh it's been so long since Kelly has accepted an award and gave a speech. I'm praying she has luck at CMAs and granny's also for at LEAST pop vocal performance. 'Stronger' is the epitome of what that award is about

That's a good question. It can be the best of both worlds. Vince bringing in the old school crowd and Kelly appealing to the young crowd. I can see the more traditional dj's/pd's supporting Vince, because he is so respected in country. Also, I think with the changes made recently in the Country Billboard chart, radio may want to back what they think is more "traditional" country music.
And with Kelly being a new voice in country and coming off a huge duet with Jason, country radio maybe there for her again. If MKIA can get to #21 with no promo and was already a pop hit ....I think "Don't Rush" will do well.
