That's not what you mean... You mean it's not simple enough. 4 was somewhat experimental, so not everyone will like love it, especially not people who like to listen to more simple pop music, mostly it was a little too R&B and her lead single was a little too complex. The radio plays Flo rida, Kesha, Katy Perry, etc. So I don't think her not being played as much had anything to do with the quality of her music. No offense if you like Katy's music, but production wise and vocally speaking 4 is miles ahead of anything her peers are doing.
It's probably Beyonce's best work, though B'day gives it a run for it's money.
I sound like a snob, but I'm not. I just think 4 was better than most of the releases in 2010-2012. The vocals are too die for. The production was great and it's sounded so new and different. Especially songs like End of Time, Countdown and I Care. You could actually listen to the instrumentals/harmonies and not get bored.
