I mean it's hard to explain. They're country-ish but they're like kinda stripped down country. They don't have the UMPH that a lot of her country songs normally have. There's no You Belong With Me, Our Song, Mine, etc etc. No explosive sing along choruses and stuff like that.

It's okay, but very underwhelming and boring unlike her previous albums. Her Hunger Games soundtrack songs are better than most of the songs on here.
I think people misunderstood. The album isn't bad. It's just underwhelming after Speak Now. There's nothing interesting among the album tracks we hadn't heard yet.
I mean compare the ballads to Last Kiss, If This Was a Movie, they're just so bland.
