In all seriousness, what I meant with "newbies" isn't exactly when they registered at ATRL - The problem here is their age. A lot of the under 16 years old fans don't have a real clue on what Britney's career and life has been aside from the all the hate she's been getting since 2006, so it probably seems easier to take the "oh, this is gonna flop, the haters are gonna hate, the media will eat her alive, let's just accept it's a flop and be happy with anything". 
I know some times it's just for "fun", but it seems to me lately it's been turning into a habit - an annoying habit. |

Don't overreact. .... YES ! Britney has received a lot of hate since 2006, but she has also received a lot of compliments and support for "Her comeback to music" and for "Recovering from her dark days".
Besides younger kids are growing up with the perception of Britney being already a really iconic act by seing their favorite new divas praising Britney all the time .... just like when I was a kid and all my divas praised Madonna (and I didn't know a lot of stuff about Madonna back then).
and I think despite she has received a lot of hate since 2006, she has also received more Legendary treatment in her career since then as well.
