Well Madonna, Janet Jackson, Cher, etc are considered legends yet they can't score hit singles these days. Although Pop is obviously a more age-centered format than country but I don't know many country artists so.
I mean I think it'll be a good song and I think Kelly's voice sounds great on country songs, I'm just not sure it'll be a hit but oh well I don't really care since it's just a GH collection song. And sorry sis I love Kelly but she did not "make" DYWS a hit. Jason Aldean is huge in country.
Yeah very true I know it will be a good song and hope it will smash. I totally agree with you and see your point! Yeah I understand Jason was huge in country! But without Kelly on the track, it wouldn't be as big... What I meant to say that Kelly contributed to help make it a hit even Jason is huge in country. I didn't mean that Kelly is the ONLY reason why it was a hit. I mean when people reviewed the song, they praised her vocals on it and said she is the perfect choice for that duet.
I hope it will not be like this... Let's just see and hope for the best!
It really makes me nervous. Kelly has such a high range and this guy really doesn't
I am afraid we are going to get a snooze fest performance/song like this. and what bugs me is if Carrie would have done that song without Randy it would have been AMAZING.
Reba's a legend and radio jumped at their duet. Same thing happened to DYWS. Usually country artists wait till their songs hit #1 then they'll release the next single. Jason's "My Kind of Party" was still a few weeks away from #1. However, after the CMA's when Kelly and Jason sang DYWS it was rushed released, because radio dj's/pd's added it the following day.
I'm hoping that pattern will continue and country radio will be eager to play Kelly and Vince's new song after the CMA's

This. you always know how to make us, Kelly stans, feel better
Jason was big in Country Music before DYWS, but that song was what catapulted him to superstar status, and I think Kelly had a much larger role in DYWS being the hit that it is vs Jason. That song is what started off his string of #1s, plus it introduced him to a new audience as well. I have high hopes for Don't Rush
Never Again went top 10 on the hot 100
and is 100x better then IDNHU
Really? Okay it makes sense then... I mean it is a better song, but I never heard it on the radio... Someone told me to listen to it recently so I did. I never knew it was even a single...

He had four country #1's and two #2's before that!

Kelly had no radio support with Never Again because of her LABEL for she went the artistic route instead of having a commercial album.
Funny how her label did that to her when they were the ones who benefited during her 2nd album
so in short the peak of Never Again are all SOLELY from digital downloads
So are both the remaining new tracks country influenced then?! ...I'm not a fan of her country...don't particularly like the one with Jason Aldean Why is that in the tracklist actually?! Was it even classed as a "hit" ?!
And am I the only one who thinks the picture on the cover looks like a reject from the "Breakaway" era?!
The cover is alright
1. Since U Been Gone
2. My Life Would Suck Without You
3. Miss Independent
4. Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)
5. Behind These Hazel Eyes
6. Because Of You
7. Never Again
8. Already Gone
9. Mr. Know It All
10. Breakaway
11. Don’t You Wanna Stay (with Jason Aldean)
12. Walk Away
I mean what kinda hit list? I'm so getting this.
