True. There may be a lot of competition in the iconic category, but as a musical performance none are as rich as this. Sure, it has a bit of a gimmick, but the payoff is at the end. The whole performance is rather simple and ungimmicky.

She, unlike some artists doesn't require a gimmick to make a performance iconic.
I mean, a certain someone's 'iconic' performance with a reptile is deemed iconic yet I've never heard anyone talk about how well that artist sung that song....

The other stanbases would claim Bey was doing it for hits and relevancy, riding on Gaga's coat tails so to speak, ignoring the fact that Bey is a completely credible artist in her own right and has been since 2003.

But after a few listens I realized when her voice should go UP, the "leaked" version goes down and so on and so forth, so I knew it was fake. Then the guy admitted it was fake.

But anyway my point is that her live singing is one of my favourite things about her, and I don't want her to ever lip-sync. What do you guys think?

Most Single Ladies performances are lip synced. Most of her Love on Top performances and most Get Me Bodied performances. Not all, there are live version of all of them on youtube, if you look for them.

She usually ad libs over the chorus of a song and doesn't really sing the whole thing, which is a really good way to save her strength 'cause she's also dancing. She's only human.
