Hopefully the rest of the country labels right now are doing what's right and argueing about these changes right now. Hopefully fans are contacting Billboard to state how invalid this is to. I'm hoping these new changes get switched soon because the Country Songs chart will just become a joke if they don't.
Taylor stans should actually be embarrased this is considered the #1 country song I mean, considering there's exponentially better country songs that didn't reach the summit, including some from her own discography is just sad.
I don't know whether it's something to be proud of, but it's certainly not something to fuel the fire with.
I cant at anyone even thinking Taylor should release an apology she does not have to do anything or owe them. Go complain to Billboard they're the ones who screwed up this for other country artists.

This doesn't only affect country but R&B and Rap charts I'm sure if they get backlash for their dumb changes they're going to have to do something about it but for anyone to issue an apology.....

no one is obsessed with the charts like the dozen of us!! no one cares enough to get their panties up in a bunch and call the fuccking billboard office about this .. i m sure this wasnt the first move of the label heads either!!
and its not like BMR only signed up taylor!! dont you think they worry about The Band Perry and Tim McGraw??? i m sure Scott or Taylor or BMR had anything to do twith this!
It's funny Taylor is part of the same label as Rihanna & Psy to.
It probably was a power move by the country branch of UMG to get Taylor that #1. I don't see any other reason why UGM would have wanted to alter the BB thresholds.
oh my god! stop acting like this was done SPecifically for Rihanna and Taylor . it was just their timing that caused taylor and rihanna to soar!! you know these three arent the only acts signed up with these labels!! they have other artists to worry about too!!

The charts themselves have a significant meaning to the music industry. If not Billboard would've been dead years back. It's a leading magazine because of the integrity of its charts.

They didn't change the rules for Rihanna. She gets plenty of #1 singles across multiple charts as it is.
