It's probably just odd because Gaga isn't normally a writer/background vocalist (only), she's a full blown huge artist. So it's hard imagining that Kendrick wouldn't credit an artist of her status, although I totally get why he isn't.

Well, I'll correct myself - there is always something up with her collaborations with urban artists.

Anyway, Kendrick wouldn't be losing any new followers because I don't think the people who eat up Gaga would care much about Kendrick outside of the collaboration. Kendrick is building a following as his song is climbing the urban radio charts and is doing well on iTunes. He doesn't need Gaga to help build a following, just like Wale didn't.
