The fact of the matter is, Usher was bigger than Justin then and still is now. You have no way of knowing wether or not Justin would flop if he came out with an album right now.

I don't think Justin Timberlake or Usher as solo artists had huge worldwide arena tours like Justin Bieber has, I know album wise/star power they might be bigger but if it's between Timberlake or Usher, Timberlake for sure.

I know this, but how did Usher do after? He wasn't nearly as consistent after Confessions and pretty much has had half of the success. Besidess I'm talking about WW success beyond just album sales.

At least he kept going. Usher could have just stopped after Confessions. It's not fair to judge Usher's 20 year career to JT's 4-5 years as a solo artist. Usher continued to release music for his fans.
