The Lord isn't here for this small battle with 1D and Bruno and Adele and whoever else. She's here for the war. That's why she's giving us middle-of-the-road teas this week. She's not putting up a fight.

Well why doesnt Adele release her single during the same day as Taylor, why did they push it back to Friday ?! Anyway Adele & Taylor have excuses if they "failed" (countdown single, OST single) but One Direction and Bruno though, they will pay it cash ...anyway it will make things interesting !!! no doubt Adele will hold the top spot until ...wait a minute !! the next countdown single of Taylor.
How I see it = the leader on itunes
One Direction : Monday 300k-400k first week
Taylor : Tuesday to Friday 200k-300k first week
Adele : Friday to Tuesday 300k-400k first week (should top the 49minutes of WANEGBT but no true longevity)
Taylor : Tuesday...
PSY ain t no more.
About RED I didn t listen to it yet but I get a feeling that I will love it since The Story Of Us is one of my favorites off Speak Now

With the preorder it will probably be considered #1 in like 2 seconds or some mess like that

Single pre-order? shouldn't be counted as one of the fastest rises then.

WANEGBT 49 minute record is very very difficult to beat tbh. .It was able to do so because of its unavailability for like 2 hours after the web chat. But yes if someone can beat then its would be Adele.

Adele's fans are not blind-buyers like 1Ders, Beliebers, Monsters or Swifties :coughs: , they need to hear it if it s good or not, the preorder ain t the real deal, it s the song itself imo (and the title (skyfall) is as powerful & pretentious as Holy Ground and I must admit I trully like it) but once again it s just a James Bond single, if it was the lead single of her new album, well I d say we should log off and hibernate for 2 months at least , that being said, the true popstar that Taylor can t handle actually is still Lady Gaga IMO , she can sh*t on the other ones!!!! the way I mesure it is the career earning because it s the last relevant indicator since the US/WW sales/charts positions are such a mess & the good music thing totally subjective.

- Adele is THE it-girl of Music industry. Being promoted as today's legend and Dusty Springfield 2.0, she has more than enough hype for "Skyfall." Just like Fearless/Speak Now
- It's James Bond. Enough said.
- Joanne and Taylor are no longer 'untouchable' with Adele completing the '10s trinity now.
- Here's the Skyfall preview. A nice blend of Shirley Bassey & Dusty Springfield sounds. It WILL smash.

The only thing that needs to be said is 4 days worth of sales. she will have that all included at the start of Friday so if she isn't #1 than she is already underperforming with the song.

It's like all artists try to block PSY to reach #1 on BB Hot 100

The Top 10 spots in this list of the Top 40 Country Songs in October 2012 are all superstars. Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Miranda Lambert are just three with new singles competing for the No. 1 spot. However, it was a newcomer that snuck past everyone to grab the flag with a ballad that’s been among the most downloaded, most requested songs of the year.
Carrie Underwood made a strong push with her new hit ‘Blown Away,’ but ultimately, she has to settle for the No. 2 spot on this October list. Meanwhile, last month’s No. 1 song on the Top 40 Country Songs lineup slips to No. 6. But that’s okay, as Little Big Town have another song inside the Top 40. Watch out for another newcomer this fall — Florida Georgia Line‘s ‘Cruise’ is a song you’re glad you can’t get out of your head. The duo make a remarkable leap to the Top 5.
The list of the Top 40 Country Songs for October 2012 is compiled from Billboard chart data and sales figures, in addition to staff opinion and reader feedback.
