You're just basing this on the #1 singles/#1 albums ratio. You're forgetting about the longevity factor, which I think is throwing a lot of people off.

No, it's better to be #20. It means you have a great balance between album and singles sales and longevity.

If you're #10 that means you have significantly higher singles success/longevity than you do albums success/longevity.

It depends how you look at it.

If you are #20 that means your album sales are very high but single sales are very low in comparison
If you are #10 that means your album sales are equally as high or low as the album sales.
If you are #1 that means your album sales are very low but single sales are very high in comparison.
