Not too often. About once a week at the earliest, my mum does it when it needs doing, mainly because she straightens hers as do many black women (hers is for ease though, she went through the 70s and 80s with a fro and long hair

ichinaru, the magazines are a great source of comfort when you grow up in a society that doesn't make you feel part of it culturally, they have a sense of bond with you. Same for MOBOs (though that sham has betrayed its roots
) and BET awards. White magazines don't really have any interest to me, and i'm open minded, they only talk about white hair, or only feature white people or just talk about white issues or things that white people may love, but black folk DGAS.
I mena, I don't get how a person would waste their damn time posting ESSAYS about how "you people shouldn't get your own thread". Just shut the hell up, eat you some Fried Chicken/Collard greens/neck-bones and hamhocks and watch a few episodes of "The Parkers" and relax.
