Iran has threatened MULTIPLE times to nuke Israel off the face of the planet, they had no reason to say this, they just said. Iran thinks Israel is the greatest enemy in the world and will stop at nothing until they can destroy the country, and once they have the nukes to do it, they will take their aim.

As crazy as they are, they won't start a nuclear war for nothing. Same with North Korea. I just think it's a mistake to start preventive wars.

Ok that was an ignorant post but it has nothing to do with oil reserves. It was ignorant because the idea would kill innocent people.. It would be a good thing if the US couldn't get access to middle eastern oil.. it would force a craze in development of renewable energy infrastructure and lessen dependency on foreign energy in the long run

The Israelites like everyone else have been defeated, read a history book supported by facts and logical reasoning.

But they were never completely wiped off the map as intended by their enemies. The Bible says that God punished Israelites for their disobedience in the form of allowing their enemies to defeat them in war but always remained faithful to them because they were His chosen people.

So much ignorance in this thread that I can't. Some people do the most I don't know what to believe. I don't know if it's really happening, I don't know if they just want to mess with us. One thing for sure though: I'll go to Madagascar and nobody shall bother me there.

It was all written in the Bible. Israelites will be unbeatable.
In Exodus 23:27 God tells Moses that he will defeat every enemy he encounters:
"I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run."
But because the people refused to heed God's Word, the enemies of Israel were permitted to gain ascendancy over them. The nation was broken up, and Jews were scattered throughout the earth. The people had been warned: "The Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other... and among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest; but the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind; and thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life" (Deuteronomy 28:64, 66).
The Jews turned their backs on God almost 2,000 years ago when they demanded the crucifixion of His Son, declaring, "His blood be on us and on our children". In doing so they denied themselves the help that God could and would have given them had they turned to Him in truth. Instead, their history for the past 2,000 years has been a record of persecution and suffering. During the German holocaust directed by Hitler in the Second World War, some 5,800,000 Jews perished in Nazi concentration camps. Even today, widespread hatred of the Jews is evident throughout the world, dramatized in the way in which Arab terrorists and others wage unremitting warfare upon them.
However, notwithstanding the terrible story of persecution and oppression exacted against the Jews over the years, God's purpose will be fulfilled. Israel cannot be destroyed. The prophet Jeremiah declared: "For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished" (Jeremiah 30:1 1). Israel’s history witnesses to the truth of that declaration. It was stated on the eve of their overthrow in BC.606 by the then mighty, but now defunct, empire of Babylon. Since then, every world power has dominated the Jew, and many nations, like Germany, have attempted to exterminate him. But in vain. The Jew has stood at the graveside of every persecutor. God's prophecy has proved true: "All they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey" (Jeremiah 30:16).
Now I don't want to further mess this politics up with religion. I'm just referencing what's happening now with what's written in the Bible. It's up to you whether you believe it or not.

Israel is no God's land. They turned their backs to God and now they even kill children.

I believe they have already been punished for that. God is never leaving them, so you can't really say that.

I mean, let me not remind you all of the 1973 oil crisis

You're so uninformed the US is 70% autosufficent and has oil reserve in case a oil crisis happens again and add the fact that Brazil, Mexico and Canada are going to keep selling oil with some African countries.

What!? Of course they aren't gonna be wiped out. Because of the diaspora caused by the Romans, they are everywhere.
Are Muslims the chosen people also, because they tried to wipe them out and it never happened. Are the Mayans also because the Spanish tried to do that and they're still here, what about the Christians in China during the revolution? Are they chosen too?
You can't wipe out a people, it always fails.

I think the poster underestimates the power that affiliates with the amount of oil that's contained within the region. (as well as the innocent lives lost)

+1
The only way for a group of people to be wiped out, is if they wipe out themselves.

From a Biblical point of view Muslims (descendants of Ishmael) and Israelites (Isaac) will always be at war with one another. Neither will cease to exist however they will continue to co-exist until the Lord returns.
I can't speak for the other attempts to extinguish certain peoples though.
