That's what I'm scared about too.
Christina, Rihanna, P!nk, Taylor, Kanye, and so many more are releasing albums this year, if not early next year. Album sales are high in October-November, but Miley needs a week where there's no competition (I really don't want another Eminem vs Can't Be Tamed experience. Whoever planned that deserves to burn.
). But in my honest opinion, I think she should risk it. Release the first single in October, and the album in November.
Sales are embarrassingly low in January-May. I think Adam Lambert went #1 with like 74k sold
I hope for the best.
). Since she's starting to talk about the album more often than before, she can't be too far from finishing it up. And don't forget she promised a single before the end of the year, so we could be getting news in the next few weeks. 
I'm just glad she's giving us something, even though she only tweeted one word.

It sucks that Miley released all her videos before VEVO took off.
