I do understand the defensive and accusatory reactions of those who are warned for offenses that might go unwarned in the very same thread, but it's better if they simply look at themselves and not repeat the behavior that led to the warning. Tons of people post regularly without ever getting warned. It is possible and it's not hard.

Well of course in the end posters just have to suck it up, but isn't this thread designed to facilitate discussion between members and the mod team regarding fairness? Don't the mods welcome feedback regarding how things are being run as long as it's done respectfully and not just whining?
I feel like I've raised some valid points questioning the rationale of the "pointless" warning. Obviously at the end of the day if nothing is going to change then posters would do well to not post smilie/.gif-only posts and avoid the warning, but pointing that out doesn't really address the criticism of the warning itself.
I know you all have a lot on your plate and it's exhausting to deal with everyone's complaints, but that getting rid of that warning seems like one easy way to make everyone's life a bit easier.
