We all know The Voice will fall more than X Factor, especially in the live shows.

As an Xtina stan, I'm only celebrating because everyone has been attacking X and The Voice since it was announced that Britney joined X Factor. Let's pull up the endless threads/posts about how The Voice was going to flop and XFactor would blow it out of the water and then we can talk. I'm expecting both shows to avrg btwn 10-12 million viewers from here on out.

Interesting note: The Voice's ratings dropped last night. They had a 4.0 demo on Tuesday, a 3.3 on Wednesday.

I predicted the worst all along. I was totally prepared for this.
From early on, The Voice managed to find a somewhat loyal audience. X Factor wasn't able to do that. Simon has put success or failure of season two on Britney's shoulders, and while I'm sure these aren't the miracle numbers he hoped for, this audience, unremarkable as it may be, exists largely (if not soley) because of Britney. I'd really hate to see how they would have done without Britney.
And that's really what it boils down to; if 12 people watch The X Factor, they do so because they're interested in Britney Spears. If 12 people watch The Voice, they do so because they're fans of the format. Aguilera herself hasn't much drawing power, so I wouldn't gloat, Aguilera fans.

3.5 million down from last year. This will be huge kick in teeth for Cowell.

Army, we can't be selective with our reactions. We all know that if X-Factor had massive ratings - it would be because of Britney. Well, since the show under-performed opening night we can't just pass everything off on other people now. Britney was paid $18 million to draw in viewers and she didn't do it.
We'll see if that changes tonight, especially since we're leading-in the Glee premiere - but the competition will be just as strong (AGT Finale, first Thursday night football game of 2012).
Yes, it's a long season and things may change...but this is certainly not how any of us wanted this to start. We pretty much all agreed that anything under 12 million was going to be disappointing...8 million is just depressing.

Aww, Lem.
Now I feel bad for trolling. I hope the X Factor ratings improve later on in the season.
Truthfully, it's really a good format for a talent show contest.
