Bias aside, I honestly see nothing special about Rih's vocals in the live performances of it except for the flawless instrumental and effects. She sounds boring, nasally and even flat at times.

But, even saying that, I'd rather watch Rih's because I find the band too irritating in Kelly's version. I like her vocals sans a few wails, but the rest is

What video were the rest of y'all watching??? That was the one I was watching. Anyways, the cover was mediocore (KC'a mediocore is still better than some people's best though) but she sang the song for a guy who was deployed overseas (I believe). Ironically enough I think he was actually in the Navy, don't quote me on that though.

Addicted is one of Kelly best bridges of all time. OF ALL TIME. And Kelly has the most flawless bridges ever. How can you say that Cry's bridge is better? I can't.

Addicted is also lyrically better tbh. Plus the production ***** on Cry's loud ass chorus.

It would have been a perfect lead up to My December tbh.
I mean soooo many people thought My December was too dark, well if we had Addicted ******** on careers at the end of Breakaway it would have made My December more understanding.

But Cry also would have given AIEW more sales

I go back and forth with it. I know Kelly wanted Cry as the third single over AG(mostly because of the whole Halo mess) but I love AG. Its one of my favorite songs by Kelly so I'm glad it became a single.

Although I don't listen to the studio version of AG anymore (I made an EP of my fav live versions and mostly listen to that) but I still listen to the studio version of Cry regularly. Cry held up way better over time for me. So idk. I do wonder how it would've done as a single though.

Its so bad. I think the idea would've been great if it was fully realized. But like most Kelly videos post Never Again, it wasn't done right at all.
