Miley's been out of the game for a while though and Demi is just starting to get major commercial success.
it was a REALLY smart move because she has the qualifications vocally, but in the same time no one expects it. There were tons of reviews saying Demi was an amazing judge , some even saying she's the best out of the four.

Miley's career has been in decline since Cant Be Tamed and her break hasnt helped her at all! Demi's fanbase is growing at a faster rate than Miley/Selena at the moment and she has reached many career milestones in this year alone. And they payed Britney loads, they really couldnt afford to get someone bigger.

when idol decided to sign Jennifer Lopez everyone were like WTF she could even sing now everyone loves her. I think the same will happen to demi.
imo demi has more experience than Jlo like she just has 1 tour.

Yeah ok I'm not pressed about the fact it could be edited but Demi stans seem to think any kind of buzz well do her good no matter what. Editing and giving her promo's to bring her talent down by some creepy old man is not good and most people who don't understand how TV editing works will thinks that.

I think the actual audition is going to be portrayed a different way, the whole audience were against that guy because he was singing a sexual song to a teenage girl in the audience, its obvious who most people are going to side with on this one.
