I won't accept it. Liz said ages ago that Miley had left HWR and was shopping around for a new label, and even though Liz has a questionable track record of being accurate I'll stick by her word on that one. I really can't see her staying with them after how they handled CBT, and how they're basically a Disney label and I doubt Miley wants to be associated with that name at all anymore. It's not like it'd be a huge hit to her bank account to buy out of whatever contract she could have been in either. I'm adamant.

I really doubt she is still with them they're probably just finishing everything up. I don't think Miley would do anything with HWR again and btw their page doesn't seem that updated some of the singers they just signed aren't on their page. So I don't think we have to worry about that.

I just hope HWR are going to do a pretty good job at promoting the album, they promoted GYHAB really well and look at it, if we'd get a GOOD promotion like that we might get another top #2 single tbh and a new #1 album

Well, Miley said in an interview that her label gives her freedom on how she wants that record and freedom in her songwriting! So I don't think she's still with HWR because well we all now how they tread their artists

I agree. I was hoping for a single out by the end of this month or by very early October (no later than the 11th). If the single was a smash, she could release her album in late November and get in a ton of Holiday sales. But knowing Miley, we'll most likely get the single by February.

I'm scared for this album's fate tbh. Hip-hop is flopping right now. Brandy and Ciara (even if they have faded) can't even get a scrape of attention for their lead singles. If Miley really is going urban, it's a risky move. And it's not helping that all we've heard from is Pharrell this and Pharell that, when we need at least one track produced by Dr. Luke, RedOne, Calvin Harris, or Max Martin.

I think you're taking the Hip Hop thing too literally
I'm positive it will still be a predominately Pop album, with just some light influences from Hip Hop

Don't know if someone already posted this But Miley confirmed that the albums style is going to be a mix of Country, Pop and Urban and you have to hear it so you can 'understand' it.

Yeah but she also worked with other producers. I'm sure she worked with Dr. Luke and Rock Mafia too. Dioesn't Billy Ray said something about her working with Luke last year??? And I mean she even said that there will be caountry in it so I think it will be great mix of everything.

But while I'm in this thread I'm so happy Miley seems to be so enthusiastic about her new projects. Now if we just get an update on her new label I'll be ectstatic. I hope she goes on MiFans soon and I can ask her myself.

I like how shes exploring a bit of country for this album. Her voice just goes together with country so effortlessly. Im still glad that its predominantly pop still, I wonder if she might try to send a single to country? Maybe she could gain somewhat of an audience there

Okay granted the first song was co-produced by Swedish House Mafia, but my point still stands. Obviously at this point I doubt she's going to deliver a Teenage Dream 2.0, but I'm confident Miley knows what she's doing. I do want her to work with a few other producers before she finishes the album though.
