Oftentimes, labs usually delete the standalone (single) version so that the album version can be exposed and potentially fuel album sales. When a person clicks and buys the single version, it's not clearly noticeable to the GP that the person has an album with that song.
Recently, this has happened with Payphone and We Are Young.

I thought it was strange when Payphone dissapeared at #18...

I see. So is PSY releasing an EP version of Gangnam Style?
I really, really, like the top 10 atm. If only Neon Trees and Phillip Phillips could replace Flo Rida and erm.. As Long As You Love Me (but I love that one too).

I'd rather they replace Whistle (even though I love it, it's been in the top 10 too long), and Girl On Fire
It looks like it might be it for fun.
Oh, well, 'Some Nights' had a pretty good run.
Though I wish it could have made it to #1.
I really love that song a ton.

So do I, but fortunately, it hasn't peaked on Radio OR On-Demand yet.
I don't understand why people are getting so upset over "Some Nights" dropping down to #5. It hasn't dropped because it's losing sales, it only dropped because new releases are selling more. If "Ronan" and "Clique" weren't released recently, "Some Nights" would still be at #3. If/when it starts falling past other songs that have been in the Top 10 for a long time, then we can worry.
