Probably most of the people commenting about autotune are probably already trolls to begin with. They probably already disliked Demi already. I mean, this was in an X-Factor promo, and they immediately go to videos to talk about her autotune. Those people I don't care about anyway...

I think I know why they cut it out. Remember when they put the video of britney sating "Who let you on stage" and they edited it so it looked like she was talking to someone else, but they revealed it later. I think they're gonna show Demi's response in the 1st/2nd episode but are just trying to create a buzz
