It wasn't just because Beyonce, Britney or Gaga wasn't there. It was moved from a Sunday to a Thursday. It was a stupid move on MTV's part.

It was a combination of aspects that led to this descent. No Britney, no Gaga. Terrible day to air. Don't recall much promo. Lackluster performances/performers. Not a surprise.
