I don't think she would have done that kind of performance again, especially for the VMA's. The VMA's usually have upbeat/vibrant performances and she went ALL OUT with SUBG when she performed there. So, I think she would have been moving all around and doing it like she does on tour.. but with a cooler aspect to it. It could have been epic

I feel much of Kelly's entire career is based off of "what could have been"..

She's never been an artistic performer, per say. But to say that she doesn't care anymore isn't necessarily true. She did two pretty cool performances during the Stronger era. The AMA performance which actually required people other than herself/her band to be on stage with her, and the drum band for X Factor UK with MKIA. So to say that she wouldn't do anything like that or better again is a silly thing to say. I don't expect these kinds of performances, but they can happen.

Ummm, no. I refuse to believe that nonsense. She randomly surprised us with choreo in Stronger so anything is possible again. As long as she teams up with a brilliant creative director, Kelly is still capable of giving us vamped up performances.

I said she peaked as a artistic performer. Not only that but she's peaked as a artistic artist as well. Kelly is capable of doing anything, she has the talent but she made it very clear that she's not invested in those things anymore.

Kelly doesn't care about jaw dropping performance and gimmicks, she wants people to notice her voice and not all the things around her. She has said that a few interviews.

There's also her 3 DWTS performances of "Walk Away", "Mr. Know it All" and the "Stronger"/"Dark Side" medley.

This past year, she's shown more effort to be different than in her entire 10 year career. Don't let Kevin's trolling blind you from the truth, that Kelly HAS put more effort into this era and it's success than any other time in memory.

The Image plays a huge role in being artistic and not only that, it needs to be memorable. Kelly her image in those performance were........ not that good and none of those performers are memorable.

And this is the wildest most iconic thing that Kelly has EVER done in her career and she has yet to top it.

Both were great for her celebrity status at the time. The SUBG VMA performance was a damned mess that I barely remember. The BoY performance was a pretty big deal though.

It KILLS me that she was horrible on the night of the VMAs. The one great potential performance of SUBG and that dumb blonde ****s it up.

And yes. Idol gives back was a powerful performance...but it's forgotten cuz it's not a regular event like the VMAs and people don't constantly bring it up.
