You're trying to say that people prefer Katy because she's not as good-looking and not as talented because people prefer a more average person because she's more approachable? I agree with the idea, but I don't think Katy is average-looking or not skinny. Your idea fits more with people like Gaga or even Rihanna.
more like because her image is genius and people love her for what she stands for, she can get away with being a **** singer. gaga and rihanna i guess, but i think they are more talented than katy perry. she makes music for teenie boopers for gods sake.
